Introducing Earnley Grove: rooted in heritage, refined for modern life

A new place, inspired by its setting

Every BRICS development begins by listening to its location. At Earnley Grove, that means taking inspiration from the character of a historic Sussex village, the area’s agricultural heritage and the meeting point between coast and countryside. The result is a collection of homes that feels contemporary, but firmly connected to the place it belongs.

Set along Drove Lane in Earnley, the development will comprise just 30 three, four and five-bedroom homes. Its scale has allowed the architecture, landscape and streetscape to be considered with care, creating a neighbourhood with its own identity rather than a collection of homes placed into the landscape.

Contemporary homes with local character

Designed by the award-winning John Pardey Architects, Earnley Grove reinterprets the materials and forms found in traditional Sussex cottages, farm buildings and timber barns. Coursed pebble walls and brick detailing sit alongside black-framed windows, clay tiles and zinc roofs, giving the homes a distinctive but balanced character.

Inside, the focus turns to modern life. Generous glazing brings natural light into carefully proportioned rooms, while practical layouts provide space for everyday routines, time together and quieter moments. Each home has been planned to combine visual character with the comfort, efficiency and convenience buyers expect from a new BRICS home.

A landscape made for people and nature

Earnley Grove has been designed as a verdant village lane, with informal planting helping to soften the streetscape and reduce the visual impact of cars. Existing mature trees will be complemented by native hedgerows, orchard planting and species-rich meadows.

A new village green, orchard copse and woodland park will provide places to meet, explore and connect with nature. These shared spaces are central to the vision for Earnley Grove, supporting a neighbourhood that feels welcoming from the outset and becomes richer as it matures.

Close to the coast, connected to Chichester

The rural tranquillity of Earnley sits within easy reach of East Wittering, West Wittering, Bracklesham Bay and Chichester Harbour. Chichester provides a wider choice of shopping, dining, culture and education, together with rail connections along the South Coast and towards London.

It is a setting that allows life to move at different speeds: coast and countryside for time outdoors, village calm at home and city amenities when they are needed.

A different approach to housebuilding

Earnley Grove reflects the BRICS belief that good homes begin with thoughtful design, quality materials and a genuine understanding of place. Every decision, from the architecture and landscape to the layouts and specification, has been made to create homes with integrity, beauty and belonging.
